Arty runs on a ChatGPT or Claude plan in your name. You connect it once, after you sign up. Here is why, and what it means for you.
Why do I need ChatGPT or Claude as well as Arty?
ChatGPT or Claude is the brain. It is very good at thinking, but on its own it can only talk to you in a chat window.
Arty gives that brain what it needs to do real work: its own computer, a memory of your business, and access to your email, calendar, and files. It keeps working while you are away, and asks before it sends anything. Arty needs a brain to think with, so you connect your own plan.
So what am I paying Arty for?
Everything around the thinking. A computer that is only yours, running all day. A memory of how your business works. The connections to your accounts, the routines it keeps, and the approvals it asks you for before anything goes out.
ChatGPT or Claude can tell you what to do. Arty does it.
Isn't that paying twice?
No. You are paying for two different things. Your ChatGPT or Claude plan pays for the thinking. Your Arty subscription pays for everything that turns that thinking into work. Neither one charges you for what the other does.
We do not resell AI, so there is no markup and we never make money on your AI usage. You pay OpenAI or Anthropic directly at their normal price, and your plan still works in their app, the same as before.
I already pay for ChatGPT. Does that work?
Yes, if it is Plus or Pro. Right now that plan gives you a chat window. With Arty, the same plan does the work: it goes through your inbox, keeps your calendar, and runs your routines. You keep using the ChatGPT app just as you do now.
ChatGPT or Claude, which should I pick?
Already use one? Pick that. Not sure? Most people start with ChatGPT.
Claude is an AI assistant like ChatGPT, made by a company called Anthropic. Arty works with either.
Which plan do I need?
A paid one: ChatGPT Plus or Pro, or Claude Pro or Max. They start from about $20 a month, paid to OpenAI or Anthropic. The free versions of ChatGPT and Claude do not work with Arty.
The bigger plans give Arty more room before it reaches a limit.
How hard is it to connect? Do you see my password?
It is a one-time step after you sign up, and it takes a minute. You sign in to ChatGPT or Claude with your own account, on their site, and Arty is connected. We never see your password.
What happens if I hit my plan's limit?
Your plan has a usage limit. If you hit it, Arty pauses until it resets, usually within a few hours. Nothing you have set up is lost.
Can I cancel one without the other?
Yes. They are separate. Cancel Arty and your ChatGPT or Claude plan carries on as before. Cancel your plan and Arty waits until you connect one again.
